Who We Are

AMSHA Institute of Rural Entrepreneurship ‘(AMSHA) is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, registered in 2012, and issued a certificate of incorporation number 90868 by BRELA in Tanzania.

AMSHA aims at promoting equitable economic and employment growth opportunities through profitable, competitive, and sustainable agricultural practices to rural smallholder farmers in Tanzania.

Key Achievements, since 2010 to date
AMSHA is affiliated with ANSAF, ACT, and TPSF; And partnered with Agri-profocus Tanzania, Mamboleo Farm Limited, Agha Khan Foundation, Kilimo Trust, MCC, Tomoni Farms Limited, AGRA, GIZ, MEDA, and MKURABITA.
Provided Agri-Business Development Services (BDS) to over 14,000 smallholder farmers, and three SMEs— Tomoni Farms Limited, Mamboleo Farms Limited, and Temnar company Limited.
AMSHA partnered with other organization such as Kilimo Trust (GIZ/AGRA), Aga Khan Foundations, MEDA Tanzania to name a few, in developing smallholder agribusiness value chains, particularly: Pineapple (From 2017 to 2019, In Kibiti DC), Rice (From 2015 to date, In Rufiji DC and Lindi rural DC), Sesame (From 2010 to 2015, in Kilwa DC), and Sunflower (From 2018 to 2020, in Kilwa DC).
